Statue of St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure lived in France from 1221 to 1274. He became the General of the Franciscan Order, he is perceived as the second founder of the order because of his intensive public activity. He was a philosopher and author of many religious writings. He is the patron saint of philosophers, workers and children.

The statue comes from the cemetery wall around the church on today's Republic Square. The author of the statue is unknown.
